| Salzburg is one of the most popular cities in Austria. This is the Home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. His home can be seen in the old city and is the city’s main tourist attraction. Near Mozart’s house is the Mozartplatz, a beautiful square named after you know who. This is Sound of Music country, and there are tours offered taking you to the actual locations that were used in the film. Don’t miss the famous opera house shown in the move. Another attraction that can not be missed, is the Hohensalzburg fortress, a great castle that towers above the city. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times over the last thousand years. This is a very crowded tourist town, but a lot of fun with many beautiful sights. |
