| New England is one of the most beautiful and diverse regions in the United States. Some of the highlights of this region include quaint farms of Vermont and New Hampshire, the Berkshire mountains, the white and green mountains, the beautiful coast of Maine with its fishing villages, white water rafting in Maine, great hiking trails, cities like, Glouster, Boston, Camden, Salem, Woodstock and Providence, boating and sailing and of course the world famous fall foliage. This region is filled with many bed and breakfast inns and many fine hotels. Winter turns New England into one of the top skiing areas with mountains named, Killington, Stowe and Stratton. For a great view take a train to the top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire the windiest and coldest spot in the east. If you feel adventurous you might want to hike the Appalachian trail that runs from Mt Katahadian in Maine to Georgia. |
